Reel Works empowers under served NYC youth to share their stories through film making. After nearly 20 years of growing success, Reel Works wanted to give their brand an update. The work they do serving students is a collaboration between industry leaders, educators, and local government, and they wanted their brand to resonate with them all.
Our task was to provide them with a polished look that spoke to the quality of their programming, while keeping it fun enough for students to be excited about.
We started by revising their logo to be more streamlined, which was more inline with their media partner's brands, and then created a series of graphic elements that could be used to create more playful designs. Vibrant colors, graphic patterns, and of course beautiful imagery of their student film makers. We later created a 20 years version of their logo to celebrate that milestone and a logo for the Changemakers Gala, giving the event its own feel yet one that is recognizable to the main brand.
